Haiti

Haiti makes rhum from fresh sugar cane juice. Rhum Barbancourt, founded in 1862, is the country’s best-known producer, using a double-distillation process and ageing in oak. Alongside it, Haiti has a tradition of clairin, an unaged cane spirit made by small producers.
