Jamaica
Jamaica is known for rum with real character: pot-still rums with strong, fruity, funky flavours from long fermentation and high levels of esters. Famous estates include Appleton Estate, Hampden, Worthy Park and Clarendon, and the island has its own protected geographical indication for Jamaican rum. Jamaican rum is also a key ingredient in plenty of classic cocktails.
