Product Description
Brugal 1888 is made in the Dominican Republic and aged twice, in two different types of cask: bourbon casks and sherry casks. It’s billed as a premium cask-aged rum that’s good neat or as a twist in classic cocktails, and it’s bottled at 40% ABV.
Brugal was founded in 1888 with a vision to perfect the art of rum making, and has now been making rum for more than 135 years. The double ageing brings out the best flavour from each cask, and only the best quality casks are used.
Tasting notes
A deep amber colour with a rich red undertone, clear and bright. The nose has the sophisticated sweetness of red and dried fruits, raisins and dates, with a spicy woodiness and hints of cinnamon. The palate is well-rounded and smooth, with toffee and vanilla balanced by peach, cocoa and cloves. The aftertaste is long-lasting and elegant, with a hint of honey.
