Product Description
Wood’s 100 Old Navy Rum is a Demerara navy-style rum made from black strap molasses at the Diamond Distillery in Guyana, which is run by Demerara Distillers. The blend includes rum from a wooden pot still, described as one of the last working wooden stills in the world, and combines pot still and continuously distilled rums aged for between one and a half and three years. There’s no age statement.
It’s bottled at 57% ABV, well above the usual 40%, which is why it’s often used as a float on cocktails, particularly tiki-style drinks. The brand dates back to 1887, with the blend said to be unchanged since then, and it has been owned by William Grant & Sons since 2002.
