Rhum Agricole

Rhum agricole is made from fresh sugar cane juice rather than molasses, which is what sets it apart from most other rum. It’s closely tied to the French Caribbean, especially Martinique, whose rhum agricole has its own protected appellation (AOC), and Guadeloupe, and it’s also made in places such as Haiti and Mauritius.
